A trip through the Yucatán, with no concept and no plan. I just wanted to slow down and look around. I don't speak Spanish, so I wandered through local markets talking with gestures and smiles, and kept trying to explain that I don't eat meat but really wanted to try everything else. These images come from those everyday encounters, made by someone who felt completely at ease being somewhere new.
